The new Praxis Works LYFT is a very lightweight mountain bike crankset. If claimed weights hold up, they’re in the realm of Race Face Next SL G4, which are among the lightest cranks available. Claimed weight for the LYFT Carbon cranks, with spindle, 175mm arms and 32-tooth chainring, is 460g. The HD version beefs up the arms and spindle and comes in about 548g (170mm, 32-tooth ring).
Praxis’ cranks work with a 30mm spindle, and they make spindle lengths and bottom bracket solutions to fit those into most any frame, including standard BSA threaded. Retail for the LYFT and LYFT HD are $500 (SGD 750) including one chainring, protective tape and end bumpers. BB’s are extra.
What Adam forgot to mention is that the Wave Tech chainrings are compatible with 10, 11 and 12 (Eagle) speed chains. They come in 28-34 tooth options, in even numbered increments.
