Optimize your wheels with CeramicSpeed Hub Bearings to benefit from reduced friction and increased performance. The result is higher speed with the same effort as well as a higher top speed. CeramicSpeed Wheel Bearings have a proven lifetime, which is 3-5 times longer than standard bearings.

All components are optimized for low friction and prolonged lifetime.

From the Curator:

"Prioritize the CeramicSpeed hub bearing upgrade. It makes a lot of sense, and ranks higher in our list of upgrades, than say, the same upgrade at the Bottom bracket.

Here my rationale:
- There's only 2 bearings at the BB while there are 6 bearings in the hub, 2 front / 4 rear.
- Front and Rear wheels rotate independently.
- RPM at the front and rear wheels are much higher than our cadence at the BB.
- Cranks only rotate when you pedal, wheels rotate as long as bike is on the move, even when coasting.
- Cost per Ceramicspeed bearing is lower on the hub upgrade kit than purchasing a Ceramicspeed BB.

Of course if budget permits, you could upgrade all your bearings!
Otherwise, the hub bearing kit would be the first I'd consider."

All bearings need maintenance. How often you need to maintain your bearings will vary greatly, depending on a number of factors - including your cycling discipline, the climate you ride in, and the way you clean your bike. If your bike is exposed to extreme conditions or usage, it can be an advantage to perform maintenance more frequently.

Riding road or tri we recommend maintenance between 5,000-10,000 kilometers or at least once a year. For off-road disciplines, we recommend more frequent maintenance between 1,000-5,000 kilometers.
