IN DEPTH REVIEW OF THE PRAXIS ZAYANTE CRANKS | Herbalife 24 Team
Posted by Elite Custom on
New on our team bikes for 2017 are the Zayante road cranks. These sleek looking cranks have been popping up all over the cycling media and getting rave reviews from outlets like BikeRadar, Cycling Weekly, and CyclingNews. Now that I’ve had them on my bike for 6 months, it’s time to add my in-depth review into the mix. I can’t start talking about the cranks withought first talking about Praxis as a company. They’re based in Santa Cruz and have been around for 10 years. They’re known in the area as the hippest and raddest company around. These guys know...
Praxis C32 Carbon Wheels - Review
Posted by Elite Custom on
Praxis first made their mark in the mountain bike world with their line of bottom brackets, which were soon followed up by chainrings and cranksets. Wheels were the next logical step, and last spring Praxis debuted the carbon fiber C32 wheelset. Intended for trail and all-mountain use, the C32 wheels are built up using an asymmetric carbon rim that measures 38mm externally and 32mm internally. DT Swiss provides the hub, with the time-tested 350 model laced into a 32-spoke, two-cross pattern on the Boost version, while the non-Boost version uses Praxis' own hub shell design with DT Swiss internals. With a...

ENVE SES 3.4 review
Posted by Elite Custom on
Just about everything we could ask for in carbon wheels except two things BikeRadar score: 4.5/5  BikeRadar verdict "An exceptional wheelset — stiff, light, good wet and dry braking — but there is no getting around the price"  Highs: Light, stiff, wide, aero but stable; great braking in the dry and the wet; tubeless compatible and designed specifically for 25mm tires Lows: Wildly expensive; titanium skewers are flimsy; internal nipples can be a hassle Buy if: You want an excellent carbon wheelset and aren't scared off by the price  ENVE overhauled its mid-depth SES 3.4 wheelset with new front- and...

ENVE’s Launches NEW SES 3.4 Tubeless Compatible Rim and Disc Brake Models
Posted by Elite Custom on
February 16, 2017 – Ogden, Utah, USA – ENVE is pleased to announce a completely redesigned Smart ENVE System (SES) 3.4 in both rim brake and disc brake models. Originally launched in 2011, the SES 3.4 was introduced to the aftermarket as a “climbing wheel with an aero advantage.” Once introduced, the SES 3.4 gained rapid acceptance by cyclists of all abilities and quickly established itself as the best-selling wheelset in ENVE’s lineup.  ENVE’s latest SES 3.4 builds upon its heritage as a climbing wheel with aero attributes, but takes a more holistic approach to refine performance in all terrain and weather conditions. The new SES 3.4...
Design & Innovation Award 2017 - ENVE SES 4.5 AR Disc wheelset
Posted by Elite Custom on
ENVE SES 4.5 AR Disc wheelset The SES wheelset from ENVE have nailed the elusive sweet spot between aerodynamics, a wider rim width (31 mm up front, 30.5 mm in the back), and low weight (1,583 grams w/ Chris King R45 CL hubs). More specifically, they’re the result of pioneering legwork in the aero-plus segment of the industry. The DI.A crew rode the SES wheelset on a myriad of bikes, each time reaching the same conclusion: across the board, the bikes accelerate quicker, rode with more agility, and were less susceptible to crosswinds (when compared to other similar wheels tested)....
